Hello members of Alcoholics Anonymous Area 87!

Each year, the AA movement invites the Areas of Canada and the United States to a week-long conference. "Each Region relies on its delegate to address current issues while helping the Movement prepare for its future. Delegates are responsible for understanding the experiences, points of view and group conscience of their Region, while being accountable of the entire US/Canada Conference." (Service manual, p. 32).

It is in this spirit that you are invited to an Assembly on Saturday April 6, 2024; it will start at 10:00 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. with 3/4 hours for lunch. On this occasion, we will present to you some topics that should be addressed during the 2024 Conference in New York. A plenary will follow the presentation of each topic during which you can express your opinions. In total, we anticipate around 5 topics that will be covered.

We are still developing the program and we will post it on the Region's website as soon as it is available.

I therefore invite you, the RSGs of the groups and the coordinators of the committees, as well as any member of the AA of Region 87 interested in participating in a democracy exercise; This is a chance for all of you to make your views known on the future of AA. I need to be enlightened.
