{"id":10025354,"date":"2025-08-30T20:48:47","date_gmt":"2025-08-31T00:48:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aa87.org\/evenement\/rq0417\/"},"modified":"2025-08-30T21:00:19","modified_gmt":"2025-08-31T01:00:19","slug":"rq0417","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.aa87.org\/en\/evenement\/rq0417\/2029-04-17\/","title":{"rendered":"Daily Reflection April 17"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span class=\"field field--name-title field--type-string field--label-hidden\">Love and fear as opposites<\/span><\/h3>\n<div>April 17<\/div>\n<div class=\"clearfix text-formatted field field--name-body field--type-text-with-summary field--label-hidden field__item\">\n<p><strong>All these failings generate fear, a soul-sickness in its own right<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Twelve steps and twelve traditions, p. 49<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&#8221;Fear knocked at the door; faith answered; no one was there.&#8221;&#8221; I don&#8217;t know to whom this quote should be attributed, but it certainly indicates very clearly that fear is an illusion. I create the illusion myself.<\/p>\n<p>I experienced fear early in my life and I mistakenly thought that the mere presence of it made me a coward. I didn&#8217;t know that one of the definitions of &#8220;&#8221;courage&#8221;&#8221; is &#8220;&#8221;the willingness to do the right thing in spite of fear.&#8221;&#8221; Courage, then, is not necessarily the absence of fear.<\/p>\n<p>During the times I didn&#8217;t have love in my life I most assuredly had fear. To fear God is to be afraid of joy. In looking back, I realize that, during the times I feared God most, there was no joy in my life.
