The CPC committee presented the recovery program suggested by AA to about twenty students in the “Nursing” program.

Since the instructors in this program first discovered us nearly two years ago, they have invited us every semester. The response from the students has been excellent. Here are some of the topics raised by the questions submitted:

– How do you approach someone who seems to have a substance use problem?

– Do you feel judged for not drinking alcohol in situations where everyone else is drinking?

– Do you think you could start drinking again after several years of abstinence? And if not, does that upset you?

Presentation format:

1) Presentation of the AA recovery program: 15 minutes

2) AA Speaker: 15 minutes

3) Questions and comments: 45 minutes
